Detail: Caffe da Vinci is an artist's coffee house in the European tradition. Adjacent to the Florida Victorian Architectural Antique shoppe, the caffe began hosting community events and parties in the early 1990s. By 1993, the caffe was a working coffeehouse/bar/art gallery and the most popular live music venue in town.
Caffe da Vinci closed in late 1997, but continued hosting community events until it's reopening in November 2004.
Wednesday through Saturday evenings, Caffe da Vinci offers live music of eclectic style: musica electronic, jazz, folk, rock, blues, reggae, jam, indie, rockabilly, and Americana to name a few. Thursday night's Open Mic with host Lauris Vidal has grown to bring musicians from all over central Florida.
The caffe features new artists each month including photographers, painters, sculptors, and mixed media installations. Local artists, friends and critics gather for openings.
